Odaiba: Artificial Island Of Wonder

Odaiba is a popular shopping and entertainment district on a man made island in Tokyo Bay. This island originally consisted of several small forts (Odaiba meaning “fort”) to fend off against potential attacks from the sea. Now it is one of the most popular locations for both tourists and couples alike.

The main highlights for me in Odaiba are as follows:

I'm sure dogs really appreciate the latest fashion trends...

An indoor theme park. Hosts many famous attractions such as the Initial D arcade and Living Doll Room

The Gundam has now moved to Shizuoka but this couple made history in Odaiba by having a Gundam themed wedding!

The scariest of all ghost houses hands down! Never have I experienced such fear...

Of course there are many other attractions on this man made island, which all make for a great day out. You can see what Odaiba has to offer in the map below:

Other points of interest are the beach, Tokyo Big Sight, Fuji TV building and Venus Fort shopping mall
